It all begins when the duo is sent on a sting operation in the world of mafia and corrupt politicians; in return, the FBI agent offers them a reduced sentence for their crime, and When Carl Elway (a document forger) tells Irving to make Mayor (Jeremy Renner as Carmine Polito) the target of his operation.

Irving Rosenfeld is in a relationship with her co-con artist Sydney Prosser. Still, the problem is that Irving is married already to Rosalyn Rosenfeld (Jennifer Lawrence), who threatens him that she won’t let him meet his child if he divorces her.

This journey of convicting influential people sees many unexpected twists and turns.
