If you are bored of visiting typical zoological parks then Fever has got you covered. Yes, the Austin Zoo is a residential area for saved or rescued animals which is open all days and you can get the tickets from Fever itself.

Visiting the Austin Zoo could become a perfect day out for your family and especially if you are going with kids, they will love this.

Visiting typical zoos are okay but here, you can also know about the past, or how these animals were rescued. If you are an environmentalist, then, of course, you will love this.

But even if you are a student, then you can also improve your knowledge of animals by visiting here.

Highlights of the Austin Zoo

The Austin Zoo houses almost three hundred animals. All these animals belong to at least one hundred different species.

You will love exploring the zoo while learning about these species and animals.

It is quite fun to know the names of these animals with the help of the information boards here. You can attend live demos and talk sessions by the zoo staff.

If you are into feeding animals then you can try feeding goats, alpacas, deer, and sheep. And don’t worry you can easily purchase the food to feed animals.

The food is available at various gift shops situated here. So just buy some food and find your peace while feeding these animals. 

Since animals at the Austin Zoo are rescued, you can learn about their stories and the staff will tell you their individual story and past. 

Things to Know Before Visiting The Austin Zoo

The Austin Zoo is open all days but the timing do varies; from Monday to Thursday, the timings are from 9.30 am to 5 pm whereas from Friday to Sunday, the timings are from 9.30 am to 6 pm.

However, there’s no age requirement for entrance as people from all age groups are welcomed and the cherry on top is, all the kids under the age of two years can have free-of-cost entry.

Please note that no animals can be brought here in the zoo. And you can’t even leave your animals unattended in your vehicles, it’s strictly restricted.

Complete Ticket Information 

The tickets can be booked through feverup.com and there are different prices for every age group.

Children under the age of two years can enter for free whereas children from the age of two years to 12 years can get the ticket for 14$. 

People above the age of 60 can get their ticket for 16$ and the ticket prices are reduced for military personnel and students, it’s 16$.

If you are claiming that discounted price for military personnel and students, then you have to produce your ID card.

Adults from 13 to 59 years of age can get their ticket for 19$. 

You do not have to pay any other extra charges for the live demo and talk session with the staff. It’s already included in the ticket price.

  • What: Exploring over three thousand animals that are rescued. 
  • When: All 7 days a week.
  • Where: Austin Zoo located at 10808 Rawhide Trail in Austin, Texas.
  • Timings: 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. (for Monday through Thursday) and 9:30 am to 6:00 pm (for Friday through Sunday).
