These are the world’s largest volcanoes. The national park depicted an area of 1395.40 km. The park climbs from sea level to more than 13000 feet, encompassing two volcanoes. This park can be visited anytime. A visitor center is present to ease the witness of the strong, active lava spray coming out from the volcano.
On 2018 May 11, the park was closed for the Kilauea volcano explosion. In early 2022, the park was reopened. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is an active volcano area along the southeastern area of Hawaii Island. Hawaii Mauna volcano
Mauna Volcano is located in the south-central part of Hawaii Island. It is the world’s biggest volcano; it extends about 3 miles, approx 5 km. It rests at an elevation of 13,477 feet above the sea surface.
In 1881 the volcano’s lava flew out, covering half of the island, and also, the volcano entered the northwestern side and outlined the town named Hilo. In 1950, the lava flowed out, and its flank in the southeastern rift zone reached the sea surface within less than 3 hours. It is a risky area; however, the place is thronged by visitors. It has erupted many times, but the most recent eruption is in 2022. The Mauna Loa volcano is famous, and Hawaii nationals preserve the place.
Kilauea volcano
Kilauea volcano is located on the east side of the Mauna Loa volcano. It is the most famous volcano and also Hawaii’s youngest volcano. This volcano covers the one-seventh area of Hawaii Island. This volcano extends approximately 25 miles (40 km.) Apart from this cover, the southeastern part rises about 40,90 feet (1250 meters), approximately above sea level. It is also a shield volcano summit caldera the same size as Mauna Loa.
They’re the most active volcano vent located in the Halema’uma crater. In 1952, halema’uma eruption was the most famous eruption of the mouth eruptions in the Kilauea volcano. Also, before this in 1924, a stream explosion ejected ash and blocks, and the lava drained away Halema’uma’s active lava lake. In 1990 there was the most lava flow, and the lava buried the entire old community named Kalapana.This eruption also came out early 21st century, when 500 acres and 200 Hector new land were added to Hawaii’s southern shore.
